ILYICH
ILYICH is a space traveler of an ambiguous origin, reincarnated in Kherson, Ukraine, maneuvering the worlds of music and art synthesizing music performances and sonic sculptures.
For the finissage of Fedir Tetyanych's exhibition at CCA, ILYICH will perform a playful, unexpected set of coordinates for comprehending and thinking beyond oppressive constructions of power and separation. Earnestly proposing magic, cosmic relationality, music, and poetry, ILYICH asks: If not now, when? and draws on the artistic research and geopolitical context of South Ukraine proposing a critical mapping from which the poetics of displacement might emerge.
